How can I write with Word if the program won't let me write a letter?

I have a serious problem with Word! First I tried to open a Microsoft account and that works on my cell phone without any problems, but not on my laptop.

I have a very common one from Terra and there are no problems with other programs either, only with Word. So after I've set up an account and so on, I want to write but then every time I get an error message.

It says: "The account you signed in to is not associated with this Office product. To activate this installation, please sign in with the account that is associated with your product."

I just have no idea what that means! What other account please? I've already looked, but can't find anything in the direction. Can anyone please help me get Word to work again?

Your account is not licensed to use Office products. It's like Windows, you also need a license to use it fully.

So do I have to buy such a license?

Exactly, or do you have an office account from your work? These are usually registered as a business account and, if your company should pay for the licenses, already contain Office.

In that case you only have to log in with the office account for your work.

If not, buy it right.

OK thanks

No problem!

Yes, you don't have a license for Word. That's the simple problem. You have to buy that too.

But if you don't want to, or can't, just use a free office. Libre Office, for example, is free and can do pretty much the same thing. Pay attention to the correct ending only when saving:-)
