I'm looking for cool pc configurations (because my laptop is a toaster) and wanted to ask if you need an SSD?
Yes and no… So a PC works without an SSD with an HDD, but I find an SSD in a new computer in 2020 is mandatory. The work pace or the speed when starting up is just so much higher that once you have one you never want to go without it again
It is strongly recommended.
People buy for hundreds of dollars, if not thousands, of great PCs, but strangely they always hesitate to choose a hard drive.
Yes, an SSD is a little more expensive than the HDD, but you can tell the difference immediately.
In addition, an SSD loses hardly noticeable performance with increasingly full memory, while most HDDs drown pitifully as soon as they are half full.
In any case, today you don't want to live without an SSD anymore, but you can just take a small ssd (240gb sata) for windows and a large HDD for files
It is highly recommended. This simply makes the PC much faster than with a conventional HDD. I would always go for the SSD, except for mass storage, then it's just expensive.
Absolutely need, no. But I wouldn't want to work on a PC without an SSD anymore because it just feels much smoother and that is definitely worth the small surcharge.
