Subwoofer cable is missing?

Hi. I recently bought a slightly older subwoofer model from Klipsch.

When I wanted to connect everything yesterday, I noticed that the power cord is missing. As far as I know the module needs a cold device plug, but this must be 2-pin and no matter where I watch I can't find anything that fits in the module or in a European socket…

Subwoofer cable is missing

I still have a notebook power supply where a 3-pin cable is on it, but on the notebook cable is 10A 250V ~ and down there's 230V ~ 50hz 1.6A.

If I put just such a normal 3-pin device cable in it, then can the subwoofer broken? Or what happens if I put it in there?

This is a typical "PC power cable". If you can buy cheap everywhere, it will be included with each power supply, so people who regularly swap their PCs and power supplies are happy to get rid of them.

The third missing pole is the so-called "earth". Not essential, but not wrong.

On the cable are the maximum information. Less is always possible. A cable is a passive component that can't break anything.

If the plug fits, you can use it.

Gi

That means it's not good to use it now? Do you have a recommendation? (please a link)

Gi

So it should go without problems? And would you still have a cable recommendation or is there every cable the same?

ma

That can't be answered flat rate. Of course it would be better if this third pole were present. Many lamps (especially LEDs) but also have no third pole. I'm not a trained electrician, but especially for low power devices I would say it does not matter. Otherwise, there would be no so-called "cold device cable", there's also missing the third pole.

It is a simple power cable, as with any PC etc…
The 3rd pole in the cable is not used… There are also the Narrow plugs with 2 poles and the thicknesses with 3 and fit into the same socket…

This has something to do with the protection class.

That the grounding is missing, is in this case so right.

Ca

There's nothing wrong.

See it… The input needs a maximum of 1.6 A… Can every cell phone off.

The cable that you connect is even suitable for a refrigerator.

The amperes that are really pulled are determined only by the consumer. If he only wants 1.6 amps… And he does not even want to… Only he.

Nobody can put in there anymore.

At a 230 volt outlet, e.g. Amps are available without end.

This does not interest the connected devices. They just get the amount of electricity they need.

The data from the cable just shows just how much it can do.

Gi

Ok, thanks for the understandable explanation.

Ca

And by the way… I can now open a shop with such cables. I'll have 30 of them in my attic.

These are all standard things.

Do not worry about that.

Main thing cold device cable.

And do not be unsettled by unqualified opinions here. I'm an IT electronics engineer and I know what I'm talking about.

What others write here… The seemingly… Zero hunch. They should first of all do their Hauptschulabschluss the little ones.

I'm reassured.

Remember, the others here are not so annoying.
