I'm actually really good at it technically, but can you connect a FUJITSU Desktop ESPRIMO Q958 to a Windows laptop and work with it without any problems, or do you need a separate monitor and keyboard with mouse?
The tech experts will certainly smile at the question or slap their hand on their forehead - SORRY.
Don't understand what you want to do Connect a computer to another and "work with it"?
Do you now assume that the computing power is somehow added up or how do I have to understand that?
I basically want to avoid having to get an extra monitor and keyboard for the home office and the question is whether I can somehow work around it and still work with it, but have access to the MINI PC
The simplest thing would be to use Remote Desktop. No problem at all within your own network. Boot up the laptop, boot up the computer, set up and use Remote Desktop. No rewiring necessary.
If I understand you correctly, you want to use the monitor and keyboard / mouse on the laptop to control the desktop. Nope, that doesn't work. A laptop is not "equipped" for that.
To do this, you need separate devices that you connect to the desktop. The HDMI connection on the laptop can only be used as an "output"; it does not work as an "input" for external signals.
Something like this is possible with additional software.https://www.giga.de/extra/monitore/tipps/laptop-als-monitor-nutzen-so-klappts/
If I understand you correctly, you want to use the laptop's monitor.
That will not do. The connections are unfortunately not given, unless you start to take apart your laptop and solder or something. You can't do that out-of-the-box.
Register both on your Wi-Fi. Share drives.
Then you have vMarioollen access to all drives.
