For some time, there's no sound on my laptop anymore. It does not want to work either with the loudspeaker or with headphones. Have already tried everything I could find on the internet, but nothing worked.
Maybe you have a useful tip.
First step: troubleshooting.
If the sound fails, there are only two reasons:
1) Software (most likely)
2) hardware
Number 2) I exclude from experience. But if you ruined the days on the speakers / headphones, it will definitely be a damage requiring repair at the dealer.
So we come to point 1).
Look in the settings under "Device Manager" in the list under Audio input and output what devices exist on your laptop.
Which are listed there?
Are certain devices in this list marked with a yellow (!)?
If yes, which?
Have recent updates automatically installed any updates from Windows? (See updates in the PC settings)
Maybe the old drivers of your integrated sound card were deleted.
Is the speaker icon in the lower right corner marked with a red X?
If I have this information, I can help you.
Do you have the laptop speaker as a playback device in the control panel?
Is the volume knob also set.
Finally, you can restore the audio driver again.
The list includes "Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)" and "Microphone (Realtek High Definition Audio)" but no exclamation marks. There were no updates installed, but I was often told to do one, which I have ignored so far. Should I do that?
All right. It was up to the update haha.
