No, you have to connect the console to a screen, a connection to a PC / laptop does not bring you a picture.

Too bad I actually hoped to be able to use the laptop as a screen.

I thought that the cables of the gamecube might be connected to e.g. Can connect a laptop to use it as a screen instead of a TV.

With a video grabber it works, but I doubt whether that is practical.
