As a matter of principle, I don't watch TV myself, that's why I have a flat-screen TV, but it's with a friend in the basement. Now I'm wondering if I could connect the flat screen TV to my laptop so that the picture from the laptop lands on the TV so that my cats can watch mouse videos. This doesn't work well on the laptop, since I can only turn off either the touchpad or the keyboard there, so the cats click away the picture on the laptop all the time. Now it is a bit of a hassle to bring the television in, just to see if it works afterwards. I also don't know anyone who is well versed in technology. So can someone tell me
how do I connect a flat screen TV to the laptop
do I need accessories and which ones
will it even work to transfer the image from the laptop
and what do I have to consider in general.
The TV should have the correct connections, VGA or HDMI. Simply connect, select the source on the TV, done.
You can connect the TV to the laptop using an HDMI cable.
Simply connect the television to the laptop using an HDMI cable, your os will almost certainly recognize the "screen" if you set the television to use HDMI 1 (depending on where you put the plug) as the source you can see everything there.
You can do it with an HDMI cable, a display port cable, or a streaming device like apple TV or something (via a cloud)
Quite simply via HDMI. Look what the TV has for inputs. In theory, VGA, DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.
