After an update of Windows 10, I can't write in the start bar below or in Windows apps such as Outlook, Netflix or even when connecting to a WLAN with the keyboard.
In Firefox or Word the keyboard works!
I have already installed all the updates, reinstalled the drivers and installed updates.
What could be the problem here?
You should not forget the BIOS update.
If necessary, try reinstalling Windows.
Have you restarted the PC?
If the keyboard no longer works, so in the Alps that will probably be the update of Windows if it has still worked before.
Which version of Windows do you currently have? Enter Windows + R and then winver.
The second line is important.
Did you try the PC?
to start in Safe Mode? Try it and see if it behaves differently.
I've just tried it, unfortunately it still does not work, but thanks.
I have version 1809 installed.
How to make a BIOS update?
Then perhaps an InPlace upgrade to the 1903 would solve the problem.
Here is a guide.

Please make a backup before as described.
The new BIOS's do it on their own. You would have to then in the BIOS and order it with a simple click. If it is older you have to do it over USB. If you are unfamiliar with the BIOS, you should have it done by a professional.
Hmm there's a rel. New laptop is, should that have made the BIOS itself?
Ok, thank you, I'll try that.
That depends on the seller. I do not bother a salesperson who bills a BIOS update.
You have no idea and write only Stuss! Please leave that if you do not understand anything…
How about 1903? Is already half a year old. [Sorry, someone was a lot faster than me]
No, that's not a kiss. With new computers, BIOS updates are still relatively common. By contrast, when the computer is 3 years old, it is usually already stable. That's why a BIOS update is a good idea in general. In this case, it is more of a Windows problem, because the keyboard works in some applications.

I accept the apology now, thank you.
I found this vague hint:
Settings → Update and Security → Troubleshooting → Windows Store Apps
I can't give it a try right now.
And for what? You write almost half an answer in every answer!
Sure, a BIOS update is good:-) I never doubted that - but with new installation and BIOS in the first place is unprofessional and simply too far-fetched!
Then you have the opportunity to explain this in a separate answer or to write a factual comment. "No idea", "Stuss", "understand nothing", "half-learned knowledge", "unprofessional", "too far-fetched" is not a factual criticism, but unfriendly mobbing. That does not help anyone, but it annoys.
Several other people on the net with the same problem have been tinkering with it for a long time, and just as fool 98 has suggested as an "emergency" solution, they have come to the goal with a re-installation. So this is not so outlandish.
For a person that has done after a real reboot. If Windows goes into hibernation mode only, some drivers will not be restarted. Therefore, open a Command Window to trigger a reboot (close all programs beforehand, otherwise it will shoot you savagely):
shutdown / r / t 0 / f
