This is always difficult, but what you should pay attention to:

Every game has different system requirements, some games might not run smoothly. Generally speaking, laptops are not ideal for gaming like computers because cooling is not as effective as with computers and you can't easily replace the system components. But there are also gaming laptops. Do you have to stop how much you want to spend or what games you want to play and accordingly meet the system requirements. I do not know the prices so well but I think a laptop for 1k euro can play the current games. But for the same price you get a better computer.
So I always recommend to buy a PC, because a notebook has many disadvantages: Very expensive, not upgradeable, high temperatures, thus shorter life. Likewise, a PC usually has more power, at the same price anyway.
For a gaming laptop you have to put down at least 1000 euro, so that every game in Full HD is currently running it should at least be a GTX 1060 paired with an i5 or i7 (H-variant of the 8th generation or HQ of the 7th generation). Memory 16 GB. The prices are usually over 1100 euro, with a PC you have at 800 euro already more power, self-construction even 650 euro.
