Big Sur installed on Mac Book Air 2020 and problems who too?

I made the update for my mac Book yesterday and unfortunately had to find out that every time I shut down my laptop, a gray image appears, completely pixelated. Does any of you have that too?

What should I do now? Can you turn to someone or do you have to wait for a new update? Only got it 1 month and that's damn annoying!

Of

Big sur is supposed to cause problems in individual cases. I didn't have this problem. You will probably have to wait for updates

Gu

Why Apple too? Any Asus laptop that is 500 euro cheaper holds up better. Mine, which I've had for 2 years, is still mega good in my eyes. I mean, Apple doesn't even have a normal USB port for a mouseโ€ฆ

Wasn't asked hereโ€ฆ

Looks strange and I haven't seen it like that before. The first thing I would do is reset the NVRAM. That sometimes helps with such problems.

To do this, switch off your MacBook Air and immediately after you switch it on again, press the following 4 keys and keep them pressed until the start tone comes a second time or the login window appears:

cmd + opt + P + R

See if it works again afterwards.

I realize It was also more of a tip if the user throws his Mac Book in the bin and needs a new laptop.

I have an iPhone and that makes it a lot easier for me with an Apple laptop ๐Ÿ˜‰ which was a disaster with a Windows.
everything has its advantages and disadvantages ๐Ÿ˜Š

Co

Okay, I'll try it out

Gu

The thing is, not everyone has 1000 euro for a cell phone that Huawei sells for 400 euro or 5000 euro for a bad laptop with an apple on the back.

There should have been a lot of problems with Big Sur (e.g. That you can't switch to an older system afterwards if you try to set it up again). I'm not aware of this problem at the moment. But I just had that, for example, that I couldn't go back from BigSur to Catalina because it no longer booted from my stick. Maybe ask Apple. I mean after 1 month that's not okay. But that's within the guarantee anyway.

Ma

Because your Asus has been running well for 2 years, do you immediately conclude that this applies to all Asus laptops in the world and that there are never any problems with this brand?

Not only Apple users can safely do without such "tips".

Co

Yes, I had Huawei before, but it's not cheaper ๐Ÿ˜‰ and I've never paid 1000 euro for a cell phone ๐Ÿ˜… but I didn't ask her for her opinion either. Thank God everyone can have their own ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ma

Please also write whether it worked or not.

Co

I reset the smc according to Apple Support, but unfortunately it didn't work. I will have to write to Apple Support again tomorrow: / but that should have been the same as your suggestion ๐Ÿ˜‰ thank you anyway

Co

Yes I think the same

Ma

No, SMC is something else and has nothing to do with it. Why not just try my tip? Only takes a minute and does no harm.

Of

Because Apple are work tools. Asus laptops with Windows can't be used as work devices in my opinion. The structure of the system means that it fills up on its own without any external influence.

Let's not start with the autostart folder and not with the fact that every single program is screaming for updates.

Windows has gotten better and better over the years. But I personally don't like it as a work tool.

Your generalization to Apple devices is actually baseless.

Yes they are expensive, yes I also think what kind of a pricing policy is but unfortunately this system is in my opinion the best that is on the market. At least what my personal requirements are for a device.

If you then have several Apple devices, it's a dream.

I just tried it unfortunately didn't work โ˜น๏ธ
