Improve memory again?

For almost a year now I have had the problem that I simply can't remember things properly. I usually checked out before testing or the like. Always prepared a week in advance and then everything was really good, only now it is so that I can read the same thing umpteen times and there's simply nothing in my memory. I also tried logical thinking, which also helped a few times with some exams etc., but with some you just have to be able to do the theory and I always fail. I had my first written exam today in a Matura subject (Abifach in Germany) and there were exactly things that I actually can do, but suddenly it seemed to me that I couldn't do anything at all and there was the so-called blackout that I did in the last Always have time. For the first time today I'm really damn embarrassed what I have done because my work could have come from a toddler as well and that would probably even be better than what I have given there today. It was immediately clear to me after a few minutes that I had definitely NOT done this subject, or that I couldn't do it, but there's nothing I can do about it. In any case, I have the opportunity to improve my grade again on two different days and in a month. So my question is whether any of you have any tips on how I can get it back with my memory so that I don't embarrass myself as I do today. I want to learn, but what I have learned disappears within a few days / hours and, as already mentioned, I did not have this problem over a year ago. I always put my cell phone away and my laptop is also in other rooms, but none of this works. Sometimes I have a few minutes when I can remember a lot at once, but it's more like a flap that opens briefly and then closes again. So if any of you have any tips, I would be really grateful if you can tell me, maybe that will help me too.

For me it always helped a lot to write out the material I had to learn. Then I learned it like this. Also, depending on the size of the exam, I started learning at least 2 weeks in advance, because otherwise I noticed that I simply couldn't remember anything in the test. When I have learned, I usually have in 20 min. Sections learned and in between homeworkouts of approx. 10 min. I needed small snacks like nuts, apples or dark chocolate and lots of water to learn. I also found that if I go to sleep in time (and especially the day before the exam) I'm much more focused and efficient. And repeat your key points before going to bed

Hope I could help you

Thank you very much for the tips! It just sounds so structured and understandable. Haha will definitely try this (especially sleeping and homeworkouts) :)
