We have actually ordered faster internet from Vodafone for a few weeks now.
On the whole, it works quite well, but my Tower PC only reaches 250 of the 500 Mbit / s ordered. At first I thought my network adapter was no longer sufficient for this and ordered a new one, but it stays that way. The upload speed is always at 100% of 25 Mbits
If I now connect the same Lan cable to my girlfriend's laptop, she constantly reaches the 500 (or always between 520 and 580)
I have already adjusted the speed but also no solution
Where exactly are you shown the 250 Mbit / s?
Oje oje i would say there has a bug with pc, it may well be that a program is hiding in the background and constantly updated and you have to find this program lg
Probably 250 Mbits are constantly used for programs… There would rather die CPU with the number of processes that would have to run constantly in the background So managing a download in the background also takes n pieces of CPU power
On various Speedtest websites, Vodafone itself, Ookla, wieistmeineip etc
Sure you go online via Lan. And not via the built-in WLAN?
Unfortunately my tower has no built-in Wi-Fi, is impossible ^^ '
Test the PC against that of your girlfriend
As a first measure in any case install the reference drivers of the network card and then examine the whole thing again
It is strange that with the same cable the full speed can be achieved on the other PC, only yours. It sounds like something is slowing down the speed of the PC. Have you set up a VPN or a proxy?
I've never worked with that before. Another big problem is that I haven't done any speed tests for a long time and therefore no longer have any reference values, since everything just went well
Yes that's right anyway I would have a look 💪✔️
