Longer battery life when I install ChromeOS?

Windows 10 is now running on my laptop, but the battery life is so bad. I read, the Chromebooks have 6-7 hours of battery life. My question, if I install ChromeOS, will it be longer?

My Windows laptop for work has a working day of 10 hours in the battery, even with Wi-Fi on and full brightness. Even under full load when the processor and Quadro graphics card have to show what they can do and you can blow dry your hair with the device is almost 2 hours work in it. Allegedly 25 hours idle operation, I never tested, I work yes.

You get longer battery life with a new battery, a larger battery or new components that need less power for the same performance. The power management of the operating system like there still one, two percent rausholen, but because of 5 minutes more battery change the system and get used to me? Is not worth the effort. Especially since Windows does a relatively good job if you set it right.

No, the battery life will be a little shorter if it does.

Chromebooks have a different power consumption from other batteries / hardware - but that's not Chrome OS
