Line out as line in?

I wanted to copy my vinyls to my PC and now have the following "problem",

My laptop only has one combo connection for line in / line out (headphones and microphone). That's why I always had to go through my mixer. But now the power / USB connection is broken and I have a wake contact (the mixer only works if I hold the plug in a special position). Is there a way to record my turntable with Audacity via this combination connection?

The problem with such a simple line in is that they usually only support such TRRS jacks. The microphone signal would then be mono.

So it's best to stick the plug to the mixer or create a new mixer / audio interface.

I've done it now with my DJ Konsone xD but thanks anyway

Is it like a small audio interface with line-in, maybe even phono? Then you don't have to reinforce.

You need a preamplifier for the turnable, and then you can use the connection on the pc as a line in. You have to teach the box in the audio settings, if necessary, if it does not recognize itself.

PS: if you have to buy a preamplifier first, you can also see that you get a device with a usb connection…
