t build a battery. I have now actually succeeded. The problem, it was a mistake. I thought it was cool, but it was unnecessary. Desktop mainboards are not made for this. Now I know it too and should have got myself a strong laptop with the money. Should I sell the parts again? Almost all of them are new and when I'm used I only get the H

What's in it for hardware?

Gr

Look in the picture M.2 1tb, msi b459i, 240gb ssd, 8gb ram…

If you don't want to use it, return the items if you can. But it was more or less, I guess, something DIY, and you must have learned something from it. So it wasn't wasted.

Gr

Yes, I really learned something from it. However, it wasn't worth the money.

Sc

What exactly do you dislike about it? What do you want to use it for anyway?

You have already bought and installed your components and built your own housing.

xa

Knowledge is always worth it imo. And the components were apparently not triple A. If you can return it, that's done anyway.

I wouldn't see that as a mistake - you learned something from it. You might think of something else that you can do with the components.

Gr

I'll keep it for now. Maybe it will still be of use.

Admittedly, the whole thing looks pretty rough and self-made. But still, there are MANY! Who don't get that far to build something like that together. You definitely have my respect.

if i were you, i would try to sell the whole device for about the price of the hardware it contains. As an executable computer. If that doesn't work, keep it. If necessary, can it be viewed as a computer with a built-in UPS…

PS: if you should manage to sell the whole thing as I wrote, then you would have "only" put the money for the housing material in the sand. The work put in is not really lost because you have learned something. That's worth a lot.

In other words, a laptop that you work or play with properly, that also puts a lot of strain on it, that also roars like stupid, because it just can't get the heat away.

A laptop that is halfway efficient also generates plenty of heat.

I have a laptop (3.2GHz, 8 cores) and also a desktop PC, simply because the laptop has a very good processor, but can only deliver for a relatively short time.

If you only use office, internet, e-mail, a laptop is sufficient.

It's nice to be able to take your laptop with you to university, to have all kinds of connections and to be able to program with it. I use the laptop at home with a large monitor.

Compiling for video, games, somewhat larger applications, you can only do that with a desktop. You can then connect two large monitors and have a good overview.
