After two days I called there to ask if the device needs to be repaired. The employee said that the analysis alone could take up to two weeks. So a pure check without repairs. Is that normal?

No, thats not normal. You just have to unscrew and dry the laptop. And then you can see if there's any damage. A first look at it takes a day when they have other things. More will certainly take longer, but I bet they would calculate something anyway, which is why they should inform you.
