The video card from your laptop is old and playable with all games that are 10_1 compatible under DirectX versions. However, Fortnite announced one month ago that Fortnite net is more playable for graphics cards under 10 DirectX versions due to enhancement testing. You own an older graphics card module, that's why.
DirectX 11 (above) is needed to play Fortnite.
