For a long time, my laptop has always shown this to me when I want to watch a movie: 'Unexpected error. Setup could not detect any updates for Windows Media. Repeat the process later. "
Since I'm not very familiar with technology, I don't know what to do.
Would be grateful for any help.
Phew, I don't really know what to do next, have a look in the settings under problem handling and it may help, which monitor / laptop do you use with which operating system (with monitor, which operating system operates your PC)
You could use VLC Media Player instead of Windows Media Player. With it you can play all video and music formats without any problems. You can download VLC here: https://www.videolan.org/vlc/
This is an hp probook with Windows 10.
Was originally Windows 7.
Okay do the troubleshooting in the settings
What do I have to click there?
Go to your settings, go to the search and enter "troubleshoot" into the search, then scroll down to "video playback", then also click "run troubleshooter"
