Laptop screen interference in the form of colorful horizontal pixel stripes. What could be to blame?

Recently, on my laptop, completely arbitrary programs (browser, Steam, Discord, Word, …) appear in different places with horizontal, colorful "pixel stripes". Mostly where there was previously a button to click on or what was written. It can't be on the screen, as these faults also disappear after a certain time. I've already run virus tests, found nothing. After several software updates of the programs and Windows updates, there's no improvement.

What could be the reason for this?

Have you ever looked at your load (CPU, GPU, RAM)? Are there any abnormalities? Otherwise, not only looked for software updates but also drivers for the devices?

Try setting a different resolution and / or updating the graphics driver. If the problem persists, one must assume that the display is defective
