Dear connoisseurs, I have a laptop with Windows 10 with an HDMI output. I want to have 2 monitors connected to this laptop (one works fine).
I have a Y-piece and 2 corresponding HDMI cables. When I put everything together, my laptop does not recognize 2 or a monitor.
How can I get 2 monitors to work on one laptop?
Maybe the Y distributor is defective? What if you only connected one monitor to it? - So via the Y part?
Are you aware that if both monitors work, they will only show the same picture anyway?
Both monitors work individually via the Y-piece. Nah, I would need 2 real monitors, so with different pictures…
Unfortunately, that won't work with a Y-piece. The graphics card must then be able to control the monitors individually. With a Y-piece, one signal is simply cloned onto two signals.
You should check the specification of your GraKa to see how many monitors it could control.
