Is it possible to install an SSD with Windows in every PC?

Hi, got a laptop that is exchanged 1 to 1 at Media Markt. Could I theoretically exchange the SSD of the old with the SSD of the new so that all data remain the same and nothing needs to be reinstalled? Hardware remains just another device. So that's just the same.

If the hardware is identical then it could work.

Maybe win10 wants to be reactivated.

ga

If it is the exact same hardware, there should be no problems.

Bi

This is not a problem with a 1 to 1 exchange.

Ch

In the meantime, this is possible - in the past, drivers often refused service when the build number of the firmware in identical hardware deviated even in the last place, and there were no "generic" drivers to handle any reasonably up-to-date hardware (important for keyboard, Graphics card, mouse). Today, if in doubt, an operating system uses a universal driver and downloads and installs a current driver from the Internet (unless explicitly prohibited).

Okay so it is no problem if it is a different device number as long as the device is the same?

Bi

No.
