Which OS do you recommend?

I have an old Windows Vista laptop at home (2 genuine Intel processors, 2 GB ram, 256 GB HDD, EFI BIOS) and I wanted to ask you which OS would you recommend for such an old laptop. And please do not come with another Windows.

I think Ubuntu is great. Runs reliably and you have a lot of options to customize your system.

Alternatives that are free, no forced enrollment, and no license key required. Can be installed on all Pc systems without any licensing issues.

For computers of this category, I take only the elegant and virus-safe Linux Mint Cinnamon, which is much better equipped than the insecure Winos, needs no "key" and spies not.

Linux does not have the many limitations of non-free Windows.

Every beginner gets along well with it. The web is full of info on the trusted and most widely used free OS on this planet.
