Hi, I'm currently thinking about buying the Oculus Quest 2 VR glasses. As I've read, you can connect this to a PC or laptop to improve graphics and performance. Now my question: I have a rather old laptop (approx. 3-4 years) with the following device specifications:
Intel Core i5-8250U 8.00 GB installed RAM, (7.88 GB usable) 64-bit operating system
Windows 10 runs on the laptop and the graphics cards Intel UHD graphics 620 and Radeon 530 are installed.
Is that enough for the Oculus quest 2 or is it better to use them as standalone glasses? So does my laptop improve or does it just cause lags?
I hope you can help me and look forward to the answers.
These are the Cpu graphics chips, they are never enough.
Sorry if that's a stupid question (I'm not that tech savvy): I always thought that the Radeon 530 graphics card belongs to the GPU because it means Graphics Processing Unit?
You have 1 CPU graphics chip and a GPU. However, the GPU is also very weak and hardly manages conventional games.
So VR is not possible with the laptop.
It's a shame, but thanks for the answer
