Sort hundreds of pictures into folders. How is it best?

On my old PC I had a system where I put the folders on the left,

and, in perhaps median view, moving the images from right to left.

On my laptop have themselves by transferring pictures from mobile phone or camera

Hundreds of photos accumulated. What would I need?

I do not think anyone can visualize what you mean by creating folders on the left and moving the images from right to left in the middle view!
