Smart TV Error 4?

I have a Smart TV from Grundig. It is not possible to get on the net, so call the apps. That went until yesterday. I had the problem ever, that suddenly it did not work anymore although the connection was ok. When I moved then a technician has the TV back to factory settings and entered everything new, there were the apps back. That was in November. Until yesterday it worked. So today I have again everything on factory settings and re-entered. The TV indicates that the connection to the network is successful. Nevertheless, I can't load the apps. When loading the message comes: error 4. I could not find out which error this is. Is the network too slow? Laptop and smartphone is on. Tablet hangs too. I'm generally not satisfied with the speed although we're supposed to have fiber.

Is there a solution? Would I have the same problem with another TV, because it is on the net?

I wrote the answer by mistake as an extra comment. Stands above. Sorry

I did that with the WPS button. Same error is: the connection to the remote server timed out

The connection itself was successful again

My answer regarding the exact terms is somehow gone.

Router Hitron CVE-30360

Tv Grundig Ultralogic FHD 32 GFB 6623

It is probably due to encryption methods for the WLAN in the router.

Here are my spontaneous suggestions for the configuration of the WLAN:

Settings Wireless Basic /

Wireless Mode: 11N Only (no mixed operation)

Channel bandwidth: 20 MHz

WPA mode: WPA2-PSK (no mix operation of WPA + WPA2)

Encryption Type: TKIP

In the "SSID name" and also "WLAN key" no spaces and no umlauts öäüßäÖÜ and special characters not synonymous. Keep the SSID = visible (do not hide).

Possibly. Try the MAC filter mode: Allow-all

to adjust.

PS: I google what you can do there!

I'm just reading your error description a little closer…

So the Grundig reports a successful network connection, but the apps are running on a… Timed out error.

It could be too slow or overloaded DNS server at your internet provider.

The solution would be to use other DNS servers.

The two Google DNS servers 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.2.2 could possibly be better.

For this you have to set up the network configuration on the Grundig manually. According to Grundig manual "NETWORK INSTALLATION" on page 76 "Manual registration"

IP address: 192.168.0.144 (this IP would have to be unavailable to you)

Submask / Subnetmask: 255.255.255.0

Gateway: 192.168.0.1

First DNS Server: 8.8.8.8

Second DNS Server: 4.4.2.2

If you configure it that way on the Grundig, it might work.

If it works, leave it that way.
