Laptop fan defective?

I removed a laptop fan from my laptop but a cable has flown from the connector (I'll solder it together) but after that I turned the fan very often and that creates voltage and is harmful to the laptop but what happens is exactly what happens Fan broken or the mainboard? I only turned the fan when I removed it, can I turn it as often as I want?

2. Question would it be possible to solder it or can there be something with a short circuit, should I rather order a new fan?
