Why does a large company deliberately break 1 year old notebooks etc. And then buy new ones, what do they get out of it?

I have never heard that. Then this is definitely a high-end software company. Using outdated equipment also costs a company money, but it is not visible from an accounting perspective.

One can doubt whether they benefit from it. But the money factor is not so important in this industry, but something else.

I had to rub my eyes right away, they throw away almost new Dell notebooks and break them beforehand. For some you were apparently too lazy, they are still undamaged.
