A few days ago I did the big win 10 update to version 20h2 and some driver updates. Since then I have had the problem that my laptop keyboard, when I tap some letters, writes them twice. For example, instead of "I'm great", he says "iichh binn madl". I've already tested the sensitivity, but it didn't help. Virus program did not fail either.
What can I do? (By the way, I wrote this question on my mobile phone because it would have been too annoying with the keyboard on the laptop)
This could also be due to the buttons bouncing. Was the case with me…
What can I do against it?
That depends on what the cause is. If the keys are always the same, it could be corrosion or dust. I would then open the keyboard and clean it thoroughly. Blowing out with compressed air can also help.
For me it already helped to turn the keyboard over and knock properly.
If there are always different keys, I'd rather suspect a driver problem. Try connecting a different keyboard. If it still is, then it's Windows, otherwise it's the keyboard.
I tried the time. So I don't have that with other keyboards. But why should that happen since all the updates?
It can actually be a coincidence. Or the keyboards use different drivers. If your keyboard has its own driver, I would update it.
This is a laptop keyboard, why should it have a different one?
Because manufacturers like to install their own drivers via their own system maintenance, which, in contrast to the generic Windows drivers, offer additional functions.
