I got minecraft for my laptop in 2010 and played it until 2011. Everything went smoothly and was great. Now I wanted to start the game again today, then it made updates and did not start in the end because my graphics card drivers are supposedly not good (the laptop is 12 years old and has no graphics card but only the intel graphics). So my question. When and why were minecraft's system requirements screwed up?
The system requirements have increased with the features and the further development of the code… I still remember the good old days… Well ok. Minecraft crashed regularly, but the time was good.
Minecraft was unfortunately always developed further… If you want to play like back then, you can try it with an old version, maybe it will work better.
The game has evolved a lot and I don't necessarily think that your hardware is too old but the drivers are simply not up to date. Do you have an error message or something similar?
