My SD card gives up the ghost, is constantly being ejected from my cell phone. So I made the new SD card in my cell phone and wanted to transfer pictures & music from the old SD card to the new one directly on my cell phone using a micro adapter. Sometimes that was not possible and took forever.
Copy the pictures of the old SD card to a laptop using an adapter so that I can move them from there to the new one - in the hope that it would work better.
Unfortunately, that also takes forever… It takes about 99 pictures over 15 minutes, despite the extra copy program that is supposed to speed things up. Have tried several, but nothing really helps.
Do you have any tips?
The memory card is probably broken. In principle, if you can't do anything, be glad that you can still get hold of things.
But is it normal that it takes so long? With some folders it was super fast
The speed depends on the class of your SD card. It may also be because it always has to copy files over one by one and accordingly always starts a "new" copy process instead of, for example, when everything is zipped, copied in one go.
If the latter is the case, it is best to zip / pack the data, otherwise you can simply let it run. It's just a one time thing. Eyes shut and go for it.
Try the following: https://www.giga.de/...d-sichern/
If that worked, just reformat the memory card.
