To all PC professionals - hello together!
I recently got a company laptop from my boss. The laptop has a single 'Macke': You can't perform updates. Not even a change of the system clock can be made.
Well, the introductory question explains this. The company laptop was ordered by the predecessor of my boss. However, this has the admmations quasi taken along resp. No more.
Is there any way to find out about this badge data, and if so, how do I get to that data to re-assign it, so that the updates and other changes can finally be executed?
Which operating system?
If necessary, reinstall Windows always works.
Then you reinstall the operating system. Before looking at the manufacturer of Lappis for drivers.
The best thing would be, you reinstall Windows, but unfortunately you (like so many here) do not even call the operating system, let alone the version, you have to find out for yourself what you have to do before.
Windows 7 Prof
Windows 7 Prof
As you can the password of Adminaccounts. Using a tool in Parted Magic (or more complicated with a command prompt) without any knowledge of the old change.
For Windows 7, if you reinstall it, you'll need the activation key to activate it. Maybe there's on the laptop (below or sometimes in the battery compartment) a sticker on which stands. If not, you have to read it out first, here's a guide: https://www.heise.de/...51200.html
In addition, you should get the latest drivers before you, which you should find on the manufacturer side of the laptop.
And of course you need an installation medium, if you do not have one, you will find the ISO file for download here, so you can burn an installation DVD or create a bootable USB stick: https://winfuture.de/...,3291.html
Everything sounds a bit tedious and complicated ;-)
Parted Magic? Do not tell me anything now… But make me smart…
Nevertheless: Thank you!

Tedious? Go away, naa! Maybe a little time consuming, but then you have a clean system.
And good instructions can be found on the Internet without any problems.
GParted (Gnome Partition Manager) is a partitioning program from the Linux world. But there's also a live version, with which you can boot the PC and then use Gparted to edit the hard drives:
https://gparted.sourceforge.io/livecd.php
By the way, the other mentioned variant is described here:
https://de.wikihow.com/Das-Admin-Passwort-in-Windows-7-knacken
You have to operate a certain effort in both variants, at least you have to you each download an ISO of the operating system concerned and burn a CD / DVD or create a bootable USB stick.
A complete reinstallation would not be much more complex, and you would have a clean system.
I meant this:

Is a small live system, intended for partitioning, but is also suitable for partitioning.
