I'm about to get an Active Speaker coming soon, most of which are available at thomann in my price category, however, mainly have an XLR input when I play music from e.g. My laptop wants to play then enough a simple cable which 3.5mm blade adapted to XLR or should I get something for a mixer in whose input I go and then rausgehe with XLR?

Know me in this regard a little bit, but thanks for any answer.

If it is more expensive speakers, you should already take an audio interface. For in between, an adapter but certainly enough.

I use an adapter cable from mini jack (stereo) to 2x XLR. Most active monitors have XLR, jack or RCA.
Which LS do you want to buy?
If you are serious, an external DAC for the laptop can already be worthwhile.

Wanted me for "small parties" with about 20 people in the party basement grow a simple active speaker. Had thought of this:

Have noticed in the meantime that the supposed XLR input can also be used as a 6.3mm jack, what would you recommend to me now simply from 3.5mm to 6.3mm adapt or rather go via an audio interface?

Gu

A?
With such a thing you hear no difference, because it is worth no DAC.

Most active speakers have built in simple mixing consoles.

For music you should build a 3.5mm stereo jack socket with two XLR plugs for left and right channel / buy at Music Store item: ACC0003434-000 for € 9,70.
