Even assembled Pc no performance?

I've just built a pc together with good parts like the nividia geforce rtx 2060, msi b450m pro-vdh, amd ryzen 5 2600, 500 watt power supply from be quiet, 240gb ssd, 1tb hdd, 16gb ram but the pc is in not better like my old windows 8 laptop. Did I just buy scrap or did something wrong?
