Performance drop when unplugging the charging cable?

I have the following problem:

Every time I play something on my laptop and I see that the battery is full and I take out the charging cable accordingly, I have massive drops in performance. In the meantime it is already the case that when the battery is empty and I plug in the charging cable, I do not experience such a sharp drop in performance, but every 3 seconds. A short still picture. If I want to have the lags gone I have to restart the whole laptop.

I have also tried various tips from the Internet:

I have set the battery setting to maximum performance for both battery and mains operation.

It was also a tip in the energy options to set the system cooling guidelines from passive to active in battery mode, but it didn't help either.

With the energy options, I also noted that the component performance is always 100%.

Now I'm looking for a solution to my problem.

Take a look at BIOS. Depending on the manufacturer, there could also be energy settings. At least that's the way it is with DELL Business
