Modern notebooks have a charge control, so that the battery is not recharged when "full".
I personally use the laptop with full battery without power supply, just to unload the battery.
In bed is ok, as long as the louvers at the bottom of the case are not covered (for example, if the laptop would be in the pillow and something sinks).
Standby time for Windows 10, in the search box in the lower left corner of the task bar, enter the word Standby and then click on the item Change energy saving mode.
