I have a CD that unfortunately I can't play on my laptop, but I put it in the player of my portable radio, I can hear it. Since I unfortunately can't play on my phone from the radio, the CD, I would like to have it done via laptop, but here I will always appears that the CD should be empty, and if I want to burn to this data. What can this be? I'm looking forward to an answer and thank you in advance and wish you a nice weekend.

Well, that's because your PC / drive does not recognize the CD as an audio CD - the reasons can be many.

Just try to start your PC with a CD or if the CD is recognized by the media player - if not, you will have to try it on another PC

Fl

If the CD player on your PC is defective, you can also buy an external CD / DVD Palyer, which is then connected via USB.

Dr

It could also be a copy protection. Try a program like EAC to rip the CD. Maybe it works anyway.

Pe

Thanks for the message, but strangely I can play other CD's.

Pe

Maybe this could be the reason, because it is an original CD from the publisher.

Fl

It's only for the first time to play.

Fl

Directly from the publisher - is it perhaps a kind of special issue of CD, and that it therefore can't be played on the PC?

Pe

It is a CD of ausZeit Verlag October 2018 manufactured in Germany

Fl

Ask the publisher why this is so. Maybe the CD has a "defect" and they send you a new one.

Pe

Unfortunately, it did not work out, it seems to be a copy protection.

Pe

Okay, thanks, good idea! A beautiful Sunday!

Dr

However, it can still be the CDs on a computer are not playable because of a copy protection. Because once they are playable, they can also be ripped.

Fl

Is that quite certain? I can't do this.

Dr

What can't you do?

Fl

Copy a purchased CD to the computer.

Dr

EAC used? Is there any copy protection on the CD? Can you play it on the PC?

Fl

I can play everything, copying is on it, and what EAC is, I wanted to ask first, but have found it. Exact Auto Copy. I'll take a look at that later.
