I have to buy a second monitor, which I then also connect to my laptop. The laptop has an HDMI output and a VGA output. The first monitor is connected to a switch via HDMI, into which the Ps4 cable also goes. There I switch what should be shown. I would like to use the second monitor with the laptop while the PS4 is running on the first and use both monitors for the laptop. Now I don't know how to do it, because I only have one HDMI output on the laptop. And VGA would probably not be high enough. Complicated and long question, but I would appreciate help.
Buy a docking station with 2 HDMI outputs.
Thank you for the tip 🤝
Can you tell me if there are any that you can use if you don't have a USB-C port on your laptop?
VGA would probably not be high enough
in principle, VGA can output resolutions up to Full HD. If your monitor has a VGA input that would be a potential possibility.
Otherwise it would be helpful to know the exact notebook model, there may be another solution.
The model is Asus F555UB-XO043T
Ok, your notebook definitely has no way to connect a docking station, so you only have the VGA port.
Well, in theory, you could add an external graphics card to the notebook, but we're talking about tinkering on an expert level and you would do without Wi-Fi. I don't want to leave it unmentioned but I assume that this will not be an option for you.
Then I'll probably try it with VGA.
