I can agree with SirAndius' answer. First dab the water as far as possible. If possible, remove the battery and let it dry for about 2-3 days. Under no circumstances place the laptop on the heater or directly in the sun. If the laptop goes back on after that is good. If not then EXODUS.

If it doesn't work in 1 or 2 weeks, consider whether it is still worth sending one in and getting it repaired. Otherwise sell to hobbyists from 1 euro on ebay.
If you are unlucky, the short circuit has already destroyed connections, if you are lucky the computer will still run after it has dried.
Disassemble the laptop as much as possible, dump excess water and pat the rest roughly dry, if possible remove the battery. I wouldn't be like that now. I would try to have the sensitive data saved and then hand it over to a collection point / disposal point. Because if the hard drive is permanently installed, which is usually the case, the personal, sensitive data is still available.
