Display lid broken out of hinge on the laptop?

As you can see in the picture, the display lid has loosened from the hinge piece by piece. It is a Toshiba Satellite L50-B-1XF. Because this laptop is still performing well and has a new price of 500 euro, it would be a shame to throw it away.

So I thought to myself I would buy a new display cover with matching screws and repair it. Unfortunately I can't find a suitable spare part and if it says "EOL".

As an alternative, I thought about completely dismantling the display lid and disconnecting the cables (or do I still need them for something?) And then buy a new screen.

What would you advise me?

Do you know dealers etc. Who still have spare parts even if most of them are already sold out?

Would the theory even work with the new screen?

Thanks in advance for the answers!

Ebay or ebay classified ads look for defective and take apart

or connect the display from time to time to a monitor with hdmi

I don't know if a new blanket would be enough. Do you see these metal struts left and right? They should be on the hinge, if I'm not mistaken.

Then you could convert it into a stand-alone PC.

It should be said that the quality leaves a lot to be desired in this price range.

Maybe someone else has a solution.

But don't throw it away, give it away on eBay classifieds. Then maybe you can get a beer too.

Thank you for your answer. Yes, that's right; the metal struts are normally attached to the joint
