I have a laptop with a gtx 950m and I'm currently thinking about upgrading a bit with a 1050m. Is this possible or are the efforts and costs so high that it is not worthwhile?
It could be that the rest of the hardware becomes the limiting factor.
The mobile Nvidia cards are also very bad to not even get for a home user.
It is also great work, depending on the notebook, to rebuild.
I also thought about it, but I would advise against it.
I do not think the rest of the problem, there's a i7-7500u and 16 gb ram in it. Do you think there are stores that would make installation and ordering for you? Or would be worth an external card that you simply use at home, because I have to say, I'm always surprised what my 950m join, iwie liquid even creates the quite new AAAs, so enough for on the go
Normally you can't change the GPU on laptops. It is firmly integrated into the motherboard. There are very few where this is not so.
An external would be possible anyway?
If the appropriate connections are present yes
Oh well, yes, but with an external solution, you can only work if your notebook USB gen. 3.1 Type C has.
