I want to expand my laptop with 2 monitors. I do not know how I do it… Until now I've always extended my laptop with 1 monitor, via HDMI, that's not a problem. I have now bought a HDMI splitter. The problem is that I can only see the same picture on the 2 monitors. My question: How do I make it possible that I can expand my laptop additionally with 2 monitors (not duplicate)? My laptop has only one HDMI and USB port. Windows 10, if that's important.
The splinter stops just the one signal on 2 connections. Exactly that is their purpose, because you have misunderstood something.
Buy your USB hub and connect a USB video adapter.
So if it works: (I can't guarantee it)
Make a right-click and go to "Display Settings" because you can usually set that, you have to put the screens there on "expand".
But if only 1 screen is displayed, that will not work.
If your laptop has no other video port besides the HDMI, such as VGA, DVI or DisplayPort you only have the option to connect the second monitor via USB.
You can either use a monitor, which is shot directly via USB or you use a corresponding USB adapter.
The point of an HDMI splitter is to duplicate the picture.
