Micro SD photos transfer without quality loss?

My micro SD card memory is almost full and now I wanted to import my photos on a laptop. Habs made with an adapter. However, these are now on the PC only in insanely poor quality, ultra pixelated and displayed in much smaller. They were not like that before. How can I transfer photos without this happening?

Do not import but COPY. Then you have the data transferred 1: 1.

Probably your importing software has some compression settings.

Copy photos from a to b happens without loss of quality because 1: 1 copy

What kind of adapter do you use?
On the SD card would normally be exactly the photos that you take with the camera. So if you put them in a memory card reader, you will usually find them in the DCIM folder. Maybe you chuck in the wrong folder, where possibly only preview files are stored?

Oh I'm cutting and pasting… Can I save the files somehow?
