Cheapest kind of storage medium?

What type of storage medium is the cheapest? SD, micro SD, stick etc? I need something for my laptop that only has 64GB on C: \

ca

Analog storage medium: paper.

Open a 4GB video with Notepad and transfer everything there on paper, I think a USB stick is cheaper than the stack of paper that would be necessary.

At least the "copy" then goes faster.

What is the cheapest for you?

In the purchase?
In the long run?
Price-performance?

ca

Ok, the other way round: Find a hard drive, which should only serve to store a current shopping list for a few cents.

Of course, paper is less suitable for video information. Unless a description of what you see is enough for you.

Se

I think that a USB stick is the cheapest solution.

Price-performance.

Then I think that will result in a USB stick. But you can throw it away after two years. So if you add to the performance synonymous to the life I can only recommend a portable SSD s.besten Samsung.

Ma

However, from a certain size they make a real price jump.

cu

How often do I want to save only one current shopping list?

You could also say stupid "the smartphone". Of course, the storage costs something there, but the smartphone is often already available and thus the storage space is already there. You can also take it with you to work on the shopping list.

And unlike the sheet of paper, you can also delete the list and use the square again.

Thus, costs = 0 euro because already available and reusable.

Se

Yes, I saw the 256GB sticks. Although one is reasonably priced at around 25 euro. The average is around 35-40 euro. The most expensive 256GB at Mindfactory costs a whopping 230 euro. Just want to know who spends 230 euro for a USB stick. Not me anyway.

Ma

In any case, you can forget the price of a 1TB stick. Since you should really resort to a HDD or SSD.

Edit: Although I see straight, there were also places in some extreme price erosion.

Who has 4GB video?

cu

Totally normal size.

Ly

I have a 500GB HDD with over 2000 videos. One minute of video in 720p only consumes about 10mb

Do you mean 4K?

cu

If I make a gameplay shot of just a few minutes in 1440p, then that's loosely 10GB at 10-20min in length before I start rendering it.

In addition, I also have some films which are copied from BluRay to the PC, these are almost 20-30GB in size at 2h! This render I often down to 6GB.

So this is completely normal.

Ly

I actually only download videos from YT. I also have films that are only 300mb in 720p

cu

720p does not say anything about the quality.

In addition, I no longer get a film in my media library that is smaller than 4GB.
