What speaks for a notebook
And what speaks for a smartphone
As a student, I need both. My laptop for the essays and research.
And my cell phone for the rest.
The smartphones are very good, but they can't replace a good laptop. There are some tasks that the cell phone can't do yet.
If you can look at a small screen for hours, that's enough for a few things. But if I have to do something with Word I prefer to use a laptop because it is easier to format.
It depends on what you want to do.
There are some things that you can do worse or not at all on a smartphone, because this e.g. Has insufficient performance or there are no corresponding applications.
In most cases I would rather use a desktop PC than a laptop.
You definitely need a notebook or a desktop PC. Smartphones can do almost nothing at all (100% not professional if it can):
Media design
Development of algorithms, software, web projects, games
Decent office work
Effective research
(Ethical) hacking
In addition, hundreds of things more than a notebook or PC can do. We also live in the digital age, so (in my opinion (unfortunately it is not)) everyone should own a PC or a notebook and a smartphone.
And me as a student 😂😅
In terms of performance, yes, but if you have to be mobile, you'd better use an ultrabook.
