I've had a new Windows 10 laptop for less than a week. The camera still worked on Friday, but now it no longer works. Both in the camera app and during meetings, I only see a camera icon.
As far as I know, I have not disguised anything, but there were small children around. What can i try?
Give your meeting app the camera authorization.
Do you have Skype? There you can test the camera and micro offline. But if the camera doesn't work there either, you should complain about your new laptop to the seller, after all, you have a guarantee.
check also times via the device manager whether it is correctly listed for all the hardware.
I checked the permissions, it doesn't work on any app.
Access to the camera for programs may have been deactivated in the settings. Simply enter data protection in the bar below and then on the left at camera. All hooks should be activated!
Have you ever checked whether you have deactivated the camera using the keyboard? Try F1-F12, if that doesn't help, press the "fn" key again. Some notebooks also have their own button to deactivate / activate the cam.
Thank you! It was F10. I should have seen that.
I'm glad you overlooked that in times of stress.
