I was sent a monitor from an old laptop a few days ago. There are 4 cables hanging from the monitor. Microphone, webcam and two without label. One is a white cable, and the other is a wider plug.
To my question:
Can somehow build this monitor together again so that it can be used as the second screen for a tower PC?
Yes you can, but you need a specific inverter board that converts the signal of your computer into a suitable for the screen + backlight. However, costs between 30 and 80 euro and is not available for each display panel. There are also many different ones and they are not compatible with everything.
