Since a few days I come across a problem here:
The internet (both Wi-Fi and LAN cable) on my laptop is extremely lame! I speak from 0 - 200 kbps and 1.5 Mbps is the highest of feelings! Mostly it loosens about 20 kbps. In short: I can't surf at all. In the task manager, the power display for Ethernet and WLAN looks like a mountain. Say apparently breaks the connection constantly and runs in places not at all. The "peaks" mean at the moment about 80KBit / s.
The router can't really lie: It's right in my room and was also replaced yesterday by a brand new device from tp link.
In addition, the Internet works fine on my phone and on all other devices.
Yesterday night at 12 it was also just as bad as now (half past ten in the morning) - so it can hardly be synonymous with the consumption of other users.
I do not remember what else I could do. I actually checked all the drivers in the device manager and installed them, but this did not bring any improvement. In addition, all programs that are closed are closed.
The strange thing is that one week ago (at home, with another router) everything worked without problems! Could watch streams, play online, etc.
Does anyone have any idea what else I could check?
So the router verifiably delivers the full power? Then it would be interesting to know which router that is exactly what network cards the PC has and if you have already tested another cable.
Actually, one word is that there really should not be.
What exactly is actually on the router? That's the first thing to be tested.
Then give the laptop a new IP. At the same time on the router check if there's a bandwidth limit for the laptop (IP or MAC).
The next one might be testing for malware on the laptop.
Then scour the network with Wire Shark, what's going on over there?
Of course, cables should always be checked.
Depending on the tariff but 1.5 MBit / s are not bad.
The 1.5 MBit / s occur only every Jubeljahre times for 2 seconds. Most of the time it is at 0.
How do I check what "arrives at the router"?
"Actually," because I just do not know well with routers, there are also such options that you can call in the browser - but I have no access on it, because it is not about my router. Here were previously 2 routers, because it was only from one to the other umgemodelt - but still did not work. Then bought a completely new - and is just now not synonymous. So I would be surprised if the router is still the problem.
I'll try that later.
Open web frontend of the router, view bandwidth. More details can be found in the manual of the router.
Call the support hotline of the provider and have the line measured.
Tp link archer c3150. https://www.tp-link.com/de/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-c3150/
My laptop is a Lenovo Y50. How do you know what's in there for a network card?
Ethernet has just spontaneously decided to run at 17Mbit / s for 30 seconds.
By the way, no other cable. But it should work anyway with WLAN anyway.
IP changed, new cable, Bandwidth limitation is probably not, virus program has also gone through. Does not bring anything.
What is a web frontend? And what is Wire Shark or what should I do with it? I only see numbers and codes that I can't handle.
I would recommend, in the configuration of the router times to look for errors, as well as on the side of the notebook. The drivers you have checked - but also reinstalled?
If you do not have access to the router, please contact the administrator. Then it's his responsibility to fix the problem anyway.
