I gave my sister my self-made PC and bought a laptop. However, this has a problem and I have far too little FPS for the specs in games like League of Legends, Witcher 3 or Minecraft. What I've already tried is: assign more ram, clean Windows install, vsync off (ingame and Nvidia control), generally in Nvidia tried to find all FPS locks, drivers all up to date, BIOS update.
Send in specs from the laptop
Unspecialized laptops are generally not as powerful as a desktop PC with the same specs.
There are models that come close, but then cost more than 3000 euro.
I was about to do it, but I have no idea how to add pictures (wanted to use GPU z)
Have
What does too little mean? Values for that would be good.
Good example Minecraft (less complex game) medium settings 90 FPS.
And what doesn't fit? It's a completely normal value. If you want more FPS, you just have to turn everything down and use Optifine. The hardware is not so good that you have 500 FPS.
Yes, if you look at benchmarks for comparison.
The benchmarks were not made on any laptop either.
Too little fps for the hardware is an extremely unspecific description, especially since you already have a very weak GPU with a 1050ti.
The good news is that the 1050ti doesn't even need 75W, so the mobile versions are often just as powerful as their desktop counterparts. Of course, this can vary from OEM to OEM.
You should also always test the games with the power supply connected (most laptops otherwise reduce the power target of their execution units), the power options should always be on top performance and you have to make sure that the games are also calculated by the Nvidia GPU and not the IGP (right click → execute with graphics processor → Nvidia high-performance processor). In addition, you should ensure sufficient cooling, a glass table as a support surface is usually very suitable.
As far as I can see, the box only has 1 RAM module. So you'd better get a 2. With the same specifications, that will probably give you a boost. You are currently giving away a lot of power here.
So I just watched a few videos with Minecraft on a 7700HQ & 1050ti on youtube and without mods they are usually below 90fps, more like 70-80 avg. Fps. With shaders then depending on which 20-40 fps…
That seems pretty normal. As I said, the 1050ti is not a strong card.
Correct.
