If you buy tickets for others - in their name of course - you can't pocket points for that, that's for sure. Just as your Bahncard has nothing to do with this, if you do not drive yourself.
However, your sister or brother-in-law can collect points if they take part in the BahnBonus program. But you can't do that, as long as you do not ride, so use the ticket yourself.
And "I leave this ticked because I forget otherwise" is no excuse. You have to abide by the conditions of BahnBonus.
