Worried about weight?

I w / 14 always get to hear from my mother that I'm / have become too thin due to my everyday life and my sport. My lifestyle is not the healthiest:

In the morning: chocolate muesli / bread with Nutella

Lunch: pasta (or whatever else is available)

In the evening: nothing (at the moment I have a lot of learning stress and extreme mood swings lol)

In addition, my normal hobbies are horse riding (which I can continue to do at the moment as I have a riding participation), swimming and competitive gymnastics

Since almost all of it is canceled at the moment, I go jogging 3-4 times a week and usually just sit in front of the laptop to do my tasks for school (we have a lot on)

In addition, I'm not feeling so good psychologically, I have the feeling that my clique is falling out…

Is my mother's concern justified?
(Weigh about 44 kg and am 167cm tall, has always been a bit thinner)

ha

Your weight is way too low. Hopefully you are aware of that.

You also eat too little and do too much exercise. You're working on getting to a clinic soon. Or has it already been discussed with you?

Your parents are afraid for you.

ry

So I'm 163 tall and weigh 65 kilos.

But I'm curvy and athletic so I'm not fat.

What I mean by that is that you weigh far too little, you have to be a real line in the landscape.

You do a lot of sport, which is not bad, on the contrary, but then of course you should also eat a lot more. I have a consumption of 3000 Kcal.

Oh and what you should of course also say is that I also gained 15 kilos, at that time I never had an appetite and ate little and then I managed it again and gained weight, it was not easy and it took 2 years.

Yes, you can understand your mother's worries. Also, considering your age, you are a little underweight. However, you shouldn't compare your weight with that of an adult.

You do a lot of sport and you should eat accordingly. Skipping dinner is therefore not a good idea.

You have a mother who obviously worries and would like to help. If you're not doing well, she'll be happy to talk to you about your problems. Talking always helps!

Perhaps you will also discuss how and what might work at dinner (favorite food, something cold, something light, a soup?).

Ky

I think I'm not that thin at all

Ky

I think it's not that bad, is it?

ry

Yes, well, it's up to you whether you want to become anorexic at some point.

Ky

But I've always been underweight, so that's normal for me

ry

But that should really never be normal!

I could recommend you to go into the calorie surplus, but to do this you have to rebuild a normal relationship with food, it takes a long time but if you are really consistent then you can do it.

Please take your situation seriously.

Ky

All of my family are thin and I have no idea thought that was normal

ry

No, that's not normal, being severely underweight is never normal.

You somehow have a disturbed perception, but I can't help you with that either.

The best thing to do is to talk to your parents about it.

Ex

But, your BMI is 15.8, that's critical

Gu

I thought it would be critical from 14.5

as

Well, you're underweight, but honestly, health is less about weight and more about your general condition. Unfortunately, what you write corresponds to that it is not so healthy for you.
I've already had different experiences with weight, from 39-65 everything is possible, but I'm 1.73m tall, so never too fat, sometimes too unsporting, but that's it. I recommend you to optimize your basic food rather than paying particular attention to eating 3 times a day, you can do that afterwards if need be. I don't eat 3 times a day myself and when I do, my meals are rather small, but I always feel great.

You don't have to be like the rest when mentally, physically and mentally to keep yourself healthy for life.

I know what I'm talking about, once had an eating disorder and overcame it well and then eat when I feel like eating outside of the typical times.

Ex

From BMI 15 at the latest, the guideline recommends in-patient admission

ha

But that's really bad. Your environment, friends, parents… I'm sure you see it that way, right?

Ke

I can understand your mother's worries.

For one thing, you eat pretty one-sided (almost only carbohydrates). Try to eat more vegetables, legumes, healthy fats (high-quality oil, fish, nuts, …) and generally bring more variety to your diet.

Second, you eat very little. I don't know how big your portions are, but a large plate of pasta and a bowl of muesli won't cover a 14-year-old's daily requirement, especially if she's also exercising intensely.

P.S. What does your mother eat for dinner? Can you get something from there?

Ky

My family eats something Albanian, but I can't eat anything in the evening

Ke

If you can't get anything down for dinner, then you should eat more with the other two meals. Or you have breakfast, have an early lunch and then eat something again in the late afternoon.
